Abstract

The field of qualitative research methodologies is vast and constantly evolving, providing researchers with a diverse toolkit for delving into the nuances of human experience and social phenomena. This article engages in a critical exploration of contemporary qualitative research methodologies, examining their strengths, weaknesses and suitability for different research purposes. Addressing established approaches such as phenomenology, grounded theory, and ethnography, as well as newer methods such as autoethnography and narrative inquiry, the article provides a comprehensive overview of the qualitative landscape. Additionally, it highlights the importance of methodological triangulation and mixed approaches to enrich research efforts.
